Additional Info:	I am a responsible parent of three and a recent graduate of the University of Guelph. I have my BA honours in Studio Art with a minor in English. I have experience as a teaching assistant for a Grade 12 art class at John F. Ross C.V.I. from 2010-2011. During class I approached students while in the working process to ask productive questions and give insightful feedback, responding to their enthusiasm and assisted them in focusing attention and ideas into a cohesive concept in order to get their message across. I Participated in weekly constructive group critiques focused on improving student’s art pieces through interrelation of ideas and feedback. In 2010 I took on a tutoring position at College Heights C.V.I. for a high school student with a learning disability who had fallen behind in class work and needed some extra help in order to graduate on time. I assisted her in calculating the amount of work that needed to be done and we broke it down together in manageable pieces according to the amount of time she had left to complete it. I Encouraged the student to keep up with the reading and then met weekly in the school library to tackle the written work. I helped the student to pick out ideas she thought were important and assisted in demonstrating how to organize the data. In 2009 I taught an art unit to grade five class at Ken Danby Public School. I prepared and organized a lesson in still life over the course of three days including an introduction, instruction and assistance for the students during the process and final steps to complete a cultivated coloured drawing. The students found this activity to be satisfying and ended up with an amazing piece of art done by them! For references, please ask!
