Additional Info:	I was a classroom teacher for 20 years. During that time, I taught music, band, choir, and classroom at all levels from Kindergarten through 12th grade. Most of my teaching career was spent teaching first grade. I have been a tutor for 29 years. I have tutored in the areas of reading/reading comprehension, math, elementary (K-5), study skills, homework help and a variety of music topics. My education includes a Bachelor's Degree at the University of Missouri at St. Louis (UMSL) in Music Education and a Master's Degree in Elementary Education with a special emphasis in Reading/Reading Comprehension from the Southern University University in Edwardsville (SIUE). I believe that every student can learn and deserves the right to be successful. After an original meeting (and speaking with school teachers if appropriate), I develop an immediate plan to achieve your goals. A recent student came to me with grades of C's, D's and F's in his classes. He immediately eliminated all F's by completing and turning in all homework on time.
