Additional Info:	Hello, I am a 27 y.o Primary School Teacher (BEdJP/P) emphasising in literacy, maths, Spanish and music (flute beginner to 3rd grade) as well as general primary school subjects. I love literacy! In fact, I write children's stories and books in my spare time, which my students love (especially when my puppet is reading). I tutor students in reading, writing and spelling (phonics approach), and also teach English as a Second Language. Spanish is my second language and I love to teach it to all ages, from beginner level to intermediate. My husband is from Colombia and we speak both English and Spanish at home. I also enjoy teaching primary school Mathematics and general school subjects, helping with homework and explaining concepts in a way that is more easily understood, i.e. using different analogies that relate to the student on an individual level. I have taught in a range of different schools in a variety of settings from Reception to Year 7 and Spanish classes from R-7. The students I have worked with come from a very wide range of backgrounds. I have experience tutoring in middle primary English and Maths; working in a Montessori Pre-school; volunteering on camps with young people from disadvantaged backgrounds, affirming them and helping to build healthy self-esteem; and teaching English as a Second Language to people of various ages from a range of different cultures (i.e. African, South American, Asian). I love to be creative when I teach; whether in a classroom, small group or one-on-one. I incorporate music, technology, drama, puppets or whatever I believe to be necessary in order for a student to connect with their learning. I believe that building a rapport with a student, such as communicating with a sense of humour and including his or her interests, keeping him or her engaged so that learning is enjoyed, is the greatest privilege I have as a teacher and tutor. In essence, I believe that tutoring is teaching at its best. Fees:	$ 33.00 Australian Dollars Per Hour Hourly lessons range from $30 - $35 depending on travel time. A double lesson (2 hours) costs $60. I am happy to tutor 2 children (or teenagers or adults) or a small group in one session (price negotiable). Skype lessons $25 p/hour.
