Additional Info:	I graduated from St. Bonaventure University in Olean, New York in May 2006 with invaluable field experiences in the area of Elementary Education and Special Education. I then went on to pursue my Master’s degree from St. Bonaventure University graduating with my degree in Childhood Literacy in December 2007. Since 2008, I have taught kindergarten and fourth grade at Knightdale Elementary School in the Wake County Public School System. Previous to joining the Knightdale staff, I was employed as an interim teacher at Armor Elementary School in New York where I taught second grade. Given my teaching experiences over the past 5 years I have a wealth of knowledge and up to date teaching strategies to educate children in Kindergarten through 5th grade. I have experience working with students who have may have an IEP or require differentiated instruction due to a learning disability, ADD, ADHD, etc. I have many resources to help students understand the core curriculum taught in the classroom and to help students prepare for standardized tests such as the 3-5 reading, math, and science EOG. I consider myself a very vibrant educator who believes that every child can and will learn with proper instruction that fits their learning style. I am a very hands on teacher who guides her students through the learning process, allowing students the chance to love learning the way it should be! I differentiate instruction to meet the needs of the child by incorporating their own interests into activiites to make many concepts feel more "real." When I am not teaching, I love to hang out with friends, take my dog Briggs for long walks, play tennis, and of course read! I truly look forward to meeting you and helping your child have many opportunities for success in school.
