Additional Info: I have been a professional educator of college and high-school-age students for more than two decades. I was the director of the Tutoring and Writing Center at Bard College at Simon’s Rock, and the director of the Sylvan Learning Center in Hadley, MA. I hold International Tutor Program Certification from the College Reading & Learning Association. In addition to teaching and developing new courses for thirteen years as faculty in Interdisciplinary Studies at Bard College at Simon’s Rock, I've also taught at Marymount Manhattan College, Brooklyn College, S.U.N.Y. Maritime College, Western New England College, and Westfield State University, among others. I earned my M.F.A. in Poetry at Brooklyn College (under Allen Ginsberg), as well as a D.Univ. first class in Classics at the University of Kent at Canterbury.

I have extensive experience as a professional academic advisor, helping learners form their educational objectives, discern their individual academic paths, and navigate their journeys in and beyond school. I have a firm grasp of attentional learning differences, as well as a strong track record of recognizing and working cooperatively with learners on subtle academic performance-related issues.

I specialize in helping high school and college-age learners succeed in reading, writing, thinking, and studying across the curriculum.

During the initial consultation I will share with you my going rate. If you can afford that, great. If not, I will ask you to pause to consider:

- the value to you of the service, and . . .

You then tell me what you can truly afford.

That's it.
