High School English teacher for 37 years. Taught everything from literature--novels, plays, short story analysis--to writing essays--critiques, definition, argumentive, comparison/contrast, cause/effect. Teaching creative writing has always been fun and exciting. I incorportate grammar with the writing; I find simple grammar exercises not helpful unless the student needs to brush up on a particular rule. I like to make learning fun and interactive as much as possible. For example, I create jeopardy games to make learning information more memorable. |
