My tutorials are child-centred and I use a range of teaching styles to suit the individual. I enjoy tutoring and recently left teaching to become a self-employed tutor. I am based in Chorlton and am willing to tutor in the homes of my tutees, providing they live in the local area. I have an enhanced CRB disclosure. Prior to tutoring, I was a secondary school teacher for six and a half years, specialising in English and History. Although I taught GCSE English Language and English Literature for several years, my most recent teaching post emulated a primary school teacher within a secondary school. Therefore I have experience of teaching a range of subjects at different ability levels. In addition to this, I have a wealth of experience in teaching pupils with SEN. During my tutorials, I use a variety of resources and take into account the child's favoured learning style without discarding the importance of developing examination skills. I maintain that good relationships with tutees and parents are fundamental to the child's academic performance. Regular reviews of the child's academic progress is also a major contributor in assessing and monitoring progression. Thus I frequently provide written or verbal reviews of the child's progress.
Fees:	£ 20.00 Pounds Per Hour I charge 20 pounds for primary and key stage 3 tuition. I charge 20 pounds for 11+ training. I charge 25 pounds for GCSE.
